Some media outlets have dubbed this eclipse the Great North American Eclipse. An eclipse is when the Moon moves in front of the Sun and blocks out the Sun’s image for those on Earth. What time will the solar eclipse be? The eclipse will start in Mexico at roughly 11:07 a.m. PDT and enter Texas at 1:27 p.m. CDT. At 3:35 p.m. EDT in Maine, it will cease.
