HOSA stands for “Health Occupations Students of America”. It is an international student organization that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Education Division of ACTE. Everyone who joins this club is here to help cure and take care of people who are in need of it.
The HOSA club gives people a great opportunity to strengthen their knowledge about the medical field, as well as their leadership skills. We get to learn about the diverse roles each Doctor, Nurse, and CNA plays within this field.
Being in the nursing program also includes being able to visit the hospital, the labs, and the nursing homes. So it really helps to give people a clear picture of what to expect when you become a CNA or something more.
Along with this information, Mrs. Skeen who helps with the program, could also speak to a doctor or even suggest you to a person/place for you to better understand a certain role that you are interested in.
