Students Work While Attending High School

People with different jobs the times they work their hours and schedule and how they feel about doing their job while in high school

Yesterday on August 22 2024 I learned about different jobs people have while being in high school the days they work and even their hours. Most people that I asked around in OHS saw people who had jobs the most common ones were lawn work, and fast food workers, and one that I haven’t heard of that just thought was interesting was working in a nursing home while being in high school. So first to start off with people who told me they do lawn work for a job the days they work are really the weekends because that is when they can do the most and some throughout the week so basically the average hours people who do lawn work that I talked to were 20 and most of them that do it told me they do it for a family business and they just love to help out their family and the family business. Next people who worked in the fast food industry while in high school told me they really just worked throughout the week about 20-25 hours because of the law and they don’t really care for their job but it’s just easy to do and just want to get a paycheck. Lastly, the one that stood out to me that only one person had was working in a nursing home told me she works every day of the week right after school and full days on the weekend and she told me she works up to 40-50 hours a week and she told me she just loves doing it because she feels like she’s doing a good deed for helping the elderly. So really this information I gathered can show you could really do anything as a job while still in high school as long as you have the right mindset and work ethic to accomplish your job.
