Did you know that the first app created was the game snake on a Nokia 6110. The first ever app store was google play and was released in 2008. Then came the apple app store which have both blown up since they were made. Now there are over 1.8 million available apps that are found on the apple app store and over 3.77 million apps on the google play store. Out of all those apps there have to be some that most people don’t know about or have forgotten about. In 2021 there were over 100 billion apps downloaded and is expected to hit 150 billion in 2025. According to DataProt an average mobile phone user has about 80 apps installed. Tiktok is the most downloaded app with over 672 million downloads in 2023 followed by Instagram and Facebook according to Software Testing Help.
