- Last year, in 2023. SWAT had been an integral part of that year’s Santa In The Park, where any man or woman of age can come and get a picture with Santa. Dressed as Santa’s little helpers, of course. They were talking, communicating and assisting parents under the Okeechobee Gazebo. Santa in the park for some background, is a well attended event that happens each year in Okeechobee. It attracts families of all ages to come down and have a good jolly time with Old Saint Nicholas. It is also always attended by the Okeechobee Town Mayor and other elected county officials/members. This was a gargantuan opportunity for the SWAT youth, as to spread the information about how much smoking really can harm your health mentally and physically. Along with it being great for them to gain service hours and credits for their SWAT graduation honor cord.
