To begin with, the person I interviewed this week to find out who has a job while attending school is Yasmine Torres (10), who attends high school all week and works on the weekends. As someone who also attends high school all week and has a job on the weekends, I think it’s great because you do not have to juggle work and school in a day and you have days just for school and for work which is way less stressful and easier. So to start with the first question I asked Torres when I interviewed her was what type of place she works at and what does she there. “ I work at Qual Creek and it is a restaurant and what I do there is I clean tables, serve people, and also cook,” Torres said. And all the stuff she said she does at her job I can and do as well and I also work at a restaurant which I think is very cool we do similar things. The next question I asked Torres in the interview was does she enjoys working at her job and are things she dislikes about her job. “ I enjoy I only work the weekends yes I could work more and make more money but I think my mental health comes first and I don’t want to be stressed with trying to work and school at the same time and there is nothing I dislike about my job I love it and love the people I work with, Torres said. Also, I relate to this yes you make more money working more days a hours but not stressing about school and your job and you’re still making money is great and feels easy and you can enjoy your time not stressed and overwhelmed. So from all this, I can conclude that even from other perspectives it’s great having a weekend job even if you do not make as much money your health should come before any money or job!!!
