Audra Friend Works at Slims Chicken during the week and volunteers at Our Village Okeechobee on the weekends. She works at Slims Chicken during the week to earn money and save it, and she volunteers at Our Village Okeechobee to give back to the world and help out.
To Begin with, the person I interviewed this week for people who attend high school and work and have a job is Audra Friend (10), who attends Okeechobee High School and works during the week. So first, the thing I thought was so cool when I interviewed Friend was that she doesn’t just have a job and works during the week while attending high school; she also volunteers on the weekend and helps out. But the first thing I asked Friend when I interviewed her was where does she work and volunteer at and does she enjoy it or have any problems. ” I work at Slims Chicken during the week and volunteer at Our Village Okeechobee on the weekend and yes I enjoy working and volunteering yes there are times I get overwhelmed but in the long run I love it because I’m still making money and also giving back to my community,” Friend said. From that response I got Friend I really think it’s amazing that she does give back to our community and I also get how that can sometimes get overwhelming but still amazing. Now onto the second and last thing I’d asked Friend in our interview was does it gets hard to manage time and how she attends and gets her work done for the high school but also works and volunteers throughout your week and weekend. “Well at the beginning it felt it was hard managing school and a job but then I was able to manage the time between the both after a while and got a hang of it and then I started volunteering also and I had to learn how to add that into my schedule and still have enough time for everything but yes it was hard at the beginning but got better in the end,” Friend said. To conclude I think that shows how much dedication Friend has into putting in the work for what she wants to do and accomplish and it is also really amazing giving back to our community too!!!
