What Shall The Debate Team Do For Your Child?

The Debate Team has had many successful achievements. First, there is news: the 2024 tournament season is now underway, and the Florida Debate Initiative(FDI) is proud to partner with the Flordia Civcis and Deabe Initiative. They are supporting the premier competitive speech and the debate league. All this information can be found in the link above. Three weeks ago, debaters from the Northwest and the Southwest regions started the season with the competition. This shows how hard these young students have been training.

These are the students who will be seeing who will win the title MVD, which stands for Most Valuable Debater. The Central and Northeast will be winning to see who has what it takes.

Last Saturday almost 200, yes 200 students from the South East, Northwest, and South regions competed in the FIRST round of the tournament for the 2024-2025 debate season. Regional Debates

Last but not least is Our team the Okeechobee High School Debate team. On October 19, they competed in Boca Raton, for the first time in the school year. Our team brought home many trophies and we are definitely looking for a lot more. The places our students made are

We can’t forget about the captain of the Debate Team, Captain Skylar Grimsley, she is the one who was behind the scenes and prepared for this all from the tournament to taking pictures and to Brant Robinson, an honorary team member.
