This week we’re going to talk about Tony Perez. Mr. Perez is a 16-year-old sophomore at Okeechobee High School. His two favorite classes are Construction and Tech AG. While they haven’t done anything building-related in construction yet, they have been learning to manage their money. Stuff like paying taxes, making write-offs, where those taxes go, and managing a checkbook. “There is really easy work,” says Perez. In Tech Ag it’s similar, where they learn how to do things like plumbing and welding. It’s nice to have classes that teach youth how to build things because it better prepares them for adulthood.
