This weekend the OHS bass club had a tournament in Leesburg on Lake Harris. All of the teams grinded hard to place well in the tournament. Michael McLeod had a 10.54 pound bag for the first day which was a south trail. The second day His team only got 9.34 pound bag and had to grind all day to get every ounce. Another team Mason Fender and Benjamin Purvis got a 14.02 pound bag to secure 14th place the second day in the fall trail. “The bite was rare but when we were able to get the bass to bite we caught most of them on a crank bait,” Michael McLeod (10) said. While Michael’s team had trouble with their boat they still persevered and got over a five pound bag instead of having to forfeit. For some of the teams it was hard most of them got bags of ten to twelve pound bag average. Overall the team’s all had success and learned something new about Lake Harris both days at the tournament.
