Shaniya Davis works at Walmart throughout the week whenever she can. She does this to earn and save money for college next year.

To start off the person I interviewed this week for high school students who work and attend Okeechobee High School is Shaniya Davis (12), who works at Walmart. When I started this interview with Davis I found out how she is finna head off to college next year and is trying as much as she can to prepare for it. The first question I asked Davis in the interview was how it works at Walmart and what specific things you do. “It is very exhausting and lots of people are rude to you for no reason and really the only things I like about working there are my co-workers and what I do is I’m a cashier and I stock the shelves up sometimes,” Davis said. From the response, I can get how people are rude for no reason since so many people go there and I really think that suck Davis has to deal with that at work. The next and last question I asked Davis in the interview was how long she would work there and what she wanted to do later in life. “I plan on leaving right before summer ends when I’m about to head to college and later in life wanna be a nurse and help out in the medical field that’s my dream but I know I got to work my way up there by working here now and there later,” Davis said. From that last response from Davis, I really think it’s amazing she sees what she’s doing now and how it will help her later on in her future and just use her job at Walmart as a step forward in life.
