On November 2nd of 2024, the current SWAT members attended the Region Four Training. This excerpt is from the official website of the Tobacco Free Partnership of Okeechobee County website.
“The training covered a variety of engaging and impactful topics, including K-12 School Tobacco Policies, Tobacco Point of Sale activities, mental health, and presentation skills. Participants also took part in several team-building exercises designed to foster collaboration and leadership, as well as immersive learning activities that deepened their understanding of tobacco prevention strategies.”
This is a quick description of the training. As you can see, it touches every base it should be touching. Its main purpose is to help this County with our Tobacco issue. Which has been steadily getting better with time. I assume this will be happening this year as well. Ask Mr.Hays the advisor for the club for further information regarding this event.
