Addison Smith is working at Pet Supermarket while attending high school. She does this because she has a great passion for and sympathy for animals and loves it.

The person I interviewed this week for high school students who work and attend Okeechobee High School is Addison Smith (11), who works at Pet Supermarket in town. Before actually interviewing Smith we talked a little and I learned a few things about her like how she has a passionate emotion for animals and that later in life she wants to be a veterinarian and take care of animals. The first thing I asked Smith was what made you want to start working at your job and does it affect your school life. “I started working at Pet Supermarket because one day I was shopping at Winn Dixie right next to the store and I saw a hiring sign outside, I didn’t have a job and was looking for one and I thought it was a perfect one for me because I love taking care of animals and no it doesn’t really effect with my school life because I make sure to get all my work done at school,” Smith said. I think that the response I got from Smith just seemed like a really realistic response and is great she got the job she wanted. The second and last question I asked Smith was whether your job will help you or for example be a stepping stone for your life later on in the future. ” Yes, I do think my job at Pet Supermarket will help me with my future later on in life since I want to be a veterinarian because it just starts me off with little things for having to take care of animals and gives me some more knowledge about them I would need to know later on,” Smith said. From that response and just overall this interview with Smith I think she did great things for her life now for later on and is amazing she gets to do some things she’s passionate about.
