Adeline Garcia works at Wendy’s while attending Okeechobee High School. She does this to save money whenever she needs or wants something for now and in the future.
The person I interviewed this week for high school students who work and attend Okeechobee High School is Adeline Garcia (12) who works at Wendy’s. Before this interview I had with Garcia I learned that she is committed to Barry University to play softball she tore her ACL back in November but it’s still an amazing accomplishment for someone who plays softball as well. The first thing I asked Garcia in our interview was why she decided to start working at Wendy’s and does she enjoy working there. “I decided to start working at Wendy’s at the beginning of this year because I just wanted to have some way of income while still being hurt and before I go to college and I have a neutral feeling about work I don’t really enjoy it or hate it I’m just there to make money and save up for myself in the future,” Garcia said. That response from Garcia in my opinion is very understandable and logical reasoning for why she works there and if she enjoys it. The second and last question I asked Garcia was what career she see herself doing later on in the future. “To be honest I really don’t know yet what I want to pursue as a career for me because I just don’t want to make a decision on one thing and want to do something later on so I’m still stuck on that,” Garcia said. From that response from Garcia, I really see where she’s coming from because I still don’t know what I want to do as a career for myself after high school, and don’t want to make the wrong decision or look back on life and wish I did it differently.
