OHS Softball’s Leaders

The OHS Softball team is half way through their season with the record of 3-7. The stats show who are the team leaders that have done the most throughout the season. Melaine Bonilla is most of the team leaders with her stats for the Okeechobee High School shows that she has the highest batting average with a .476, on base percentage with a .560, stolen bases with a 5, runs with a 8, hits with a 10, and 3 doubles.  She is the top overall player on the softball team with her slugging percentage .619. Bonilla plays shortstop, catcher, and pitcher, which are important positions in softball. “I just love to play softball and travel season and my batting lessons have paid off and it’s showing when I play and in my stats, I work hard and i’m happy that all my hard work has finally been able to show and stand out towards people,” Meliane Bonilla (9) said. Bonilla has been working very hard to maintain her good record and will continue to help out her team in any way possible.
