Haylee Pendrey Works at Zaxby’s while attending Okeechobee High School. She does this because she enjoys working there and wants to be prepared for anything.
The person I interviewed this week for high school students who work and attend Okeechobee High School is Haylee Pendrey (11), who works at Zaxby’s. Before interviewing Pendrey, I knew her from playing softball with her throughout our lives, and she is a kind and hard-working person who will do anything to get what she truly wants. I first asked Pendrey in our interview how long she had been working at Zaxby’s and why she enjoys it. “I’ve been working at Zaxby’s for about six or seven months now, and I enjoy working there because it’s just a great work environment there and great people to be around also,” Pendrey said. From that response from Pendrey, it just seems very understandable, and it’s great that she enjoys where she works and everyone that works with her. The second and last question I asked Pendrey was Why do you want to prepare for everything already, even though you don’t know how everything in your life is going to go. “I liked to be prepared for everything and anything because I never know when an amazing opportunity could come up for me and I can’t take it because I don’t have enough money and wasn’t prepared for it,” Pendrey said. From that last response from Pendrey, I think that is an amazing mindset, and more people should really have the same mindset as Pendrey!
