grade level events

“Life is complete the moment you realize the only thing missing from it is your appreciation for it.” – Lliam Berry

At Okeechobee High School, students experience a variety of grade-level events that mark their journey through high school. Freshmen begin their experience at the Okeechobee Freshman Campus, where they participate in an open house to meet teachers and navigate their new environment. Throughout the year, all students participate in the spirited Homecoming Week festivities, which feature a parade, pep rally, and a lively bonfire. As juniors, students plan and execute the annual prom, a special tradition for the class and the school. Seniors culminate their high school careers with several memorable events, including senior pictures, a graduation practice, a celebratory field day party, and the culminating graduation ceremony. The school and community also organize initiatives like the “Adopt a High School Senior” group to shower students with gifts and recognition. These grade-specific activities help to define each student’s high school experience and build community spirit.
