Clinton Laflam originally was not set on teaching, however he explains that he started teaching because he didn’t get drafted in the ‘baseball drafts’. He went to school at Florida Southern College for a total of five years. He taught one year in Lakeland, and then had an opportunity for a job here in Okeechobee. Laflam was very eager to jump on this opportunity as it meant he could come back home and work at the school he graduated from. He has a fond opinion on education as “education matters,” Laflam said.
Funfact:
Laflam sees himself as a cheetah because they sleep a lot and are very fast.
He believes AVID is a very good and worthwhile course.
