What has happened in World History this week? Well, a lot of interesting things, actually!
So far, in the class the main topic students had been learning about throughout this current week have been the middle ages. Many of the civilizations and how they functioned during the time were introduced, such as France, England, and other areas. A few significant figures were also taught about, one of which being St. Francis of Assisi, who originally founded the friars. Even some old, ancient works of literature such as The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer, the Doomsday Book written by (the order of) William the Conqueror, and Summa Theologica by Thomas Aquinas, were introduced to students.
And, that’s about it for what went on in World History this week. Make sure to stay tuned to keep up on what’s been going on in each Social Studies class!
And, to finish this post off, here’s a quote from one of the teachers for World History, Mr. Matchett!
“I, a stinking hound, whom can I teach, what can I preach, and with what can I enlighten others?” -Mr. Eddie Matchett (10) said.
