Meet Reed Pung, he’s an athlete that plays at Okeechobee High School, he is in the 10th grade and is 15 years old. Pung plays cross country because it helps him stay in shape and also wants his 3-year letterman in cross country for High school. Pung says he started liking the sport at the age of 5 because it was relaxing to watch and play. Pung said he wants to go to college for cross country and the college he wants to play for is the University of Florida. Pung says his role model is Michael Jordan because he wins and his mentality motivates him. Pung says he doesn’t have any good luck charms because no matter what he will always give 100% at the sport. Pung says he wants to win states in Okeechobee High School for cross country and wants to win an Olympic medal for cross country as well. “cross country is a sport where you have to have a lot of stamina and a good mindset cause it is easy to get frustrated in the sport and give your best,” Reed Pung(10) said.
