Background:
Maggie Cauley is a guidance counselor at Okeechobee High School. She joined our school in 2024, originally starting out as a teacher. Cauley is very supportive and often has snacks or fidget toys for students. “I like to think of my office as a safe space for students where they can ask me questions or ask me for advice without any judgment,” Cauley said.
Advice:
Cauley states that her piece of advice towards students would be to not stress about their future; everything will flow together on its own time. There is no need to rush anything, and we as students have all our lives to figure it out.
Fun Facts:
- She was originally a teacher before she became a guidance counselor.
- She likes penguins because they are swift and calm.
- She likes to be in the cold because it is easier to be cozy.
