On September 4, 2024, The Okeechobee JV Volleyball played against Port St. Lucie, and won. The Jv team had a hard time starting in the game, but after a timeout that was called by their coach they talked about what they needed to fix so they could win the game. I asked Melaine Bonilla what they talked about during the timeout, “We talked about how we needed to start calling the ball and communicating, and that we needed to lock in and focus and play our positions even if we never played there before. This talk really helped us win,” Melaine Bonilla said (9). To sum up what is already stated, without this timeout the JV team might have taken their first loss, but thankfully they pulled it together and came out with a win.
